Here is an email I got today. Boy it was good to hear from him. All the old timers here will remember Chris...

Aloha Ben, sorry it has taken me this long to respond to your last post on my site though I have been extremely busy since retiring last Jan. I lost my Shop to a fire this past January and everything that was in it (about 40k worth of stuff, thank God I had insurance and most of the receipts and pictures of it's contents) and this has kept me busy trying to re-procure all my tools and stuff to replace all that I lost. I just got done building the forms for the new shop and once I pour the concrete I'll have the building erected to house all of my new stuff.

I thought once I retired I would live the life of Riley and kick back. Well that hasn't been the case I have so much remodeling work backed up that it seems I am working harder than I did when I worked for the Govt. In any case I love it and am enjoying life.

I got a call this morning from an old friend that wanted to go out and swing the money stick for awhile though I had to say I couldn't because I had already made plans to run to town and pick up some supplies to finish up the remodeling job I am working on now. I hope to get this job done this week then maybe take a few days to detect then pour my slab and get my building erected and stuff moved into it. The last time I detected was about two weeks ago and it was cold as heck out there. I found maybe 4.00 on clad and a small toe ring at a park that we stopped at. It may have been cold but it was sure nice to get out and enjoy.
